Sam Oprzadek started off the bottom of the 4th inning with a Walk followed by a strikeout from Max Jacobs and single from Weston Hoover.
Sam and Weston then advanced bases on a past ball placing runners in scoring position on 2nd and 3rd.
Another wild pitch results in Colt Flores walking and runners scoring. Next up, One Panyard strikes out but reaches 1st base with some serious hustle to beat out the throw on a dropped strike 3.
Waylon Blair next up walks loading the bases up for Connor Smith who grounds into a fielders choice scoring one run and leaving runners on 1st and 3rd.
Blake Brenner then singles to left field knocking in two runs bringing the WarHawks to within 2 runs.
AJ Crabtree steps to the plate, see a couple wild pitches and two runs score. AJ walks, steals 2nd and then 3rd base. As Crabtree attempts to rattle the pitcher on the base path, Sam Oprzadek steps up to the plate hoping to knock in AJ for the lead but goes down swinging.
We are headed to the 5th inning all tied up at 7.
And just when you thought it could not get more exciting, Firelands WarHawks 10U Select Grabs Lead In Fifth Inning For Victory Over Full Tilt.
Fan’s were on their feet, the crowd was screaming. The WarHawks were rolling and Full-Tilt was waning fast. The tables had turned.
Firelands WarHawks 10U Select stole the lead late and defeated Full Tilt 11-10 on Saturday. The game was tied at seven with Full Tilt batting in the top of the fifth when #11 singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.
Firelands WarHawks 10U Select earned the victory despite allowing Full Tilt to score six runs in the fourth inning. #3, #2, and #13 powered the big inning with RBIs.
In the bottom of the sixth inning, down 10-7, Waylon Blair knocked the ball to the fence for a Triple to get things started in a big way!
Next up for the WarHawks, Connor Smith takes a walk. With runners on 1st and 3rd, Blake Brenner singles to left field driving in Waylon and sending Connor to 3rd base.
AJ Crabtree steps up to the plate and takes a hard pitch to the hip. Connor then scores on a wild pitch, Blake advances to 3rd and AJ to 2nd.
Next to bat for the Firelands WarHawks 10U Select is Sam Oprzadek. Blake Brenner steals home to tie the game at 10 and Crabtree steals 3rd.
Full-Tilt then made a costly mistake when Sam is given the sign to steal 2nd, they take their eye’s off Crabtree. Crabtree darts off stealing home to secure the victory 11-10 with no time left on the clock.
Max Jacobs came up huge pitching Firelands WarHawks 10U Select out of a jam and to victory. He allowed two hits and three runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking zero. Weston H threw one and one-third innings in relief out of the bullpen.
#11 took the loss for Full Tilt. He surrendered four runs on two hits over one and one-third innings, striking out three.
Colt F started the game for Firelands WarHawks 10U Select. He went two innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits and striking out three
Blake B led Firelands WarHawks 10U Select with three hits in four at bats. Firelands WarHawks 10U Select stole 11 bases during the game as four players stole more than one. AJ Crabtree led the way with three.
