West Lake Demons Defeats Resilient Warhawks

Despite a 7-run deficit in the second inning, Warhawks almost came all the way back, eventually falling 8-7 to West Lake Demons on Saturday when the game clock expired.

Warhawks tallied five runs in the failed comeback. Ryan H, David H, Gabe H, Ben J, and Ethan R all picked up RBIs in the rally.

Warhawks fell behind early in the loss. West Lake Demons scored on a single by #23, a groundout by #4, a double by #12, and a groundout by #22 in the first inning.

West Lake Demons got things moving in the first inning, when #23 singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

Warhawks put up four runs in the fourth inning. Gabe, Ben , and Ethan each drove in runs during the inning.

Landon H was on the pitcher’s mound for Warhawks. He surrendered eight runs on five hits over three innings, striking out one.

Ethan led Warhawks with two hits in three at bats. Warhawks stole 14 bases during the game as four players stole more than one. Gabe led the way with five.
