There were runs aplenty on Sunday, as Firelands WarHawks 10U Select defeated Ann Arbor A’s 10 U Hogan 11-7.

Firelands WarHawks 10U Select got things started in the first inning. Blake Brenner singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the first inning, Ann Arbor A’s 10 U Hogan tied things up at one when Ethan B singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Firelands WarHawks 10U Select pulled away for good with six runs in the third inning. In the third Blake singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run,

Weston Hoover singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs, Connor Smith singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, and Colt Flores grounded out, scoring one run.

Ann Arbor A’s 10 U Hogan scored three runs in the fifth inning. Gunner and Ethan G powered the big inning with RBIs.

Colt earned the victory on the mound for Firelands WarHawks 10U Select. He went two innings, allowing one run on one hit, striking out five and walking one. Max Jacobs and Weston Hoover entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Jake took the loss for Ann Arbor A’s 10 U Hogan. He allowed six hits and six runs over two innings, striking out three.

Firelands WarHawks 10U Select racked up 15 hits. Blake, Memphis McKenzie, Weston, Gabe Herzog, and AJ Crabtree each collected multiple hits for Firelands WarHawks 10U Select. Blake went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Firelands WarHawks 10U Select in hits.
