Firelands WarHawks 10U Select fell to Pittsburgh Diamond Dawgs 11-10 on Saturday on the final play of the game. The game was tied at ten with Pittsburgh Diamond Dawgs batting in the bottom of the sixth when George singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.

Despite the loss, Firelands WarHawks 10U Select did collect eight hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Pittsburgh Diamond Dawgs had ten hits on the way to victory.

Firelands WarHawks 10U Select notched seven runs in the fourth inning. The rally was led by singles by Connor Smith, Waylon Blair, Max Jacobs, and Weston Hoover, a walk by Colt Flores, and a double by Weston.

Pittsburgh Diamond Dawgs scored four runs in the fifth inning. The big inning for Pittsburgh Diamond Dawgs came thanks to a walk by George and a single by Ericson.

Colt started the game for Firelands WarHawks 10U Select. He surrendered zero runs on two hits over two innings, striking out six and walking zero.  Weston, Blake Brenner, Max, and AJ Crabtree each entered the game as relief, throwing one and one-third innings, one inning, two-thirds of an inning, and two-thirds of an inning respectively.

Firelands WarHawks 10U Select totaled eight hits in the game.  Weston and Connor all managed multiple hits for Firelands WarHawks 10U Select.  Firelands WarHawks 10U Select stole 22 bases during the game as eight players stole more than one. Connor led the way with four.
